Job Description
We are currently seeking a part time Prep Cook.
REQUIREMENTS:
-
General culinary knowledge of basic kitchen practices, protocols and procedures.
-
At least 1 year working in a high volume restaurant kitchen, or similar working experience.
-
Understanding of typical culinary units of measure.
-
Ability to work safely with culinary equipment including but not limited to slicer, mixer, robo coupe, and convection ovens.

Ability to follow all 33 Taps Health & safety standards.
CERTIFICATES:
-
ServSafe, or CA Food Handlers Certificate
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
-
Stand for long periods of time
-
· Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
-
Ability to comprehend and speak simple sentences in English to perform essential functions of the job.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos written in English.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization
Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent

Graduate of a culinary institute, military school or formal on-the-job training preferred

Minimum of 1 year of food preparation experience required

Experience with quantity food preparation preferred

Demonstrate cooking skills and ability to follow established menus and recipes

Must be able to work daytime, nighttime and weekends.
